STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — Readers have asked if there is a dumpling company opening in West Brighton. Since the Brooklyn Dumpling Shop project was announced in November, the anticipated storefront at 646 Forest Ave. has remained untouched by construction workers’ hands. And the silence is unnerving to those with dumpling dreams and fried wonton fantasies.

Principal Imer Cami said to potential fans: don’t fret. Neighbors will soon see promotional stickers for the potstickers in the store’s windows. They will be the harbingers of dumpling joy posted in time for Parade Day that officially will announce the business.
