This Friday, May 13 from 4-7 PM, The Wonton Project will pop-up at Franklin’s Table, on UPenn’s campus. The menu will feature The Wonton Project’s beloved wontons — rooted in Restaurateur Ellen Yin’s mom’s homestyle recipe — including Steamed Pork and Shrimp, Steamed Chicken and Ginger, and Fried Pork and Shrimp Wontons, along with some special menu items.

The Wonton Project launched in April 2021 following the violence against the Asian community in Atlanta as a part of the nationwide #doughsomething campaign. Yin’s wonton recipe stems from her mother’s original home-style Chinese wonton recipe as a way to celebrate her culture. The Wonton Project benefits organizations locally and nationally that advocate for civil and human rights of Asian Americans, including Asian Americans United and Asian Americans Advancing Justice.
