Merdeka.com - The cause of death for the vocalist of the Soundgarden music group, Chris Cornell (52), has finally been revealed.According to forensic experts who examined it, one of the grunge music icons committed suicide.As reported by The Guardian page, Friday (19/5), Cornell was found dead in the bathroom of the MGM Grand Detroit Hotel, Michigan State, United States, after the Soundgarden concert last Wednesday night.The first to find was a family friend.He was asked to check by his late wife, Vicky.After that, he was shocked and panicked, then told Vicky and the other colleagues.Later, the police, a team of paramedics, and Wayne County forensics officers arrived at the scene.According to them, Cornell died by hanging himself.Representative for the deceased's family, Brian Bumbery, said the family was devastated and saddened by this sudden and unexpected incident.He seemed to follow the lead of the band Nirvana, Kurt Cobain, who committed suicide by shooting a gun.Before the concert started, Cornell still had time to tweet through his Twitter account.He stated that the concert tickets in Detroit were sold out.Cornell's musical career skyrocketed after exploring the grunge genre, and joined Soundgarden in 1984. Previously, he had a band called Temple of the Dog.Before being signed to a major record label, Soundgarden started their journey by releasing an independent album.Their work was originally released by the independent label Sub Pop.Their hit song, Black Hole Sun, became a milestone in establishing Soundgarden in the grunge scene, on par with Nirvana and Pearl Jam.They disbanded in 1997, but reunited seven years ago.Their most recent album, King Animal, was released in 2012.When Soundgarden disbanded, Cornell and three members of Rage Against The Machine founded the band Audioslave.He has also tried his hand at a solo career, exploring the soul and blues genres.Together with composer David Arnold, he produced the song You Know My Name, which was later lined up as the theme song for the 2006 James Bond film Casino Royale.As a musician, Cornell apparently had fallen.He is addicted to drugs and alcohol.It made him depressed and required entry into rehab."It's actually fun going to rehab. It's like going to school.
